We are looking for a Senior DevOps / Cloud Software Engineer.
Our client relies heavily on modern, cloud-native technology to deliver fast, secure digital experiences to millions of consumers.
They are seeking an engineer who combines strong backend development skills with deep AWS cloud infrastructure and automation expertise.
Rather than a pure operations role, you will work within a product engineering team; writing clean code, designing serverless architectures, and building automated CI/CD pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
Software Engineering: Build and maintain secure APIs, backend services, and microservices (C#, .NET, Node.js).AWS Cloud Engineering: Architect serverless, event-driven solutions using Lambda, EventBridge, API Gateway, Step Functions, DynamoDB, and S3.DevOps & Infrastructure: Drive automation using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation/CDK), CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, or Splunk).Ops & Mentorship: Uplift engineering practices, support incident response, and mentor junior engineers.What the Client Is Looking For
5+ years of experience delivering and supporting production-grade cloud services.Tech Stack: C#, .NET, or Node.js + deep hands-on AWS serverless expertise.DevOps Tooling: Hands-on experience with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK) and CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Octopus Deploy).Industry Experience: Background in high-volume, regulated sectors (e.g., financial services, insurance, banking, superannuation) is highly desirable.Mindset: An "automation-first" approach, a strong bias for action, and excellent stakeholder communication skills.
