A career as a Senior Site Reliability Engineering Developer on the Observability team at National Bank means acting as a specialist in software engineering, observability and automation. Through your development skills, as well as your knowledge of cloud platforms and observability tools, you will have a positive impact on the reliability, performance and evolution of the Bank’s technology services. Your role Contribute to the enterprise observability vision and promote the adoption of industry-recognized practices. Organize initiatives, structure information and communicate with clients. Use your political skills (knowing how to recognize your allies and active and passive opponents) to support the transformation. Understand the needs of IT teams and propose technical solutions adapted to their business challenges. Develop proofs of concept, automations and solutions in “everything as code” mode. Guide team members in the design, implementation and improvement of observability solutions (AWS infrastructure, platform configuration, solution architecture, etc.). Support teams in their observability journey. Assess the adoption of observability practices and recommend improvement plans. Participate in technology watch and innovation initiatives related to observability. Your team Within the Software Engineering, Enterprise Architecture and Delivery sector, you will be part of a group dedicated to the governance and implementation of National Bank’s observability platforms, within the broader AI Hub team. The team contributes directly to the organization’s technology transformation by supporting the evolution of observability, reliability and automation practices. Prerequisites Experience in software development, site engineering or in a technical role related to observability and automation. Proficiency with tools or technologies such as Datadog, Splunk, Vector, Python, AWS (EKS, Helm, EC2, Lambda), Terraform, GitHub and Docker. Ability to design technical solutions, optimize processes and apply recognized software engineering practices. Leadership, autonomy, curiosity, openness to feedback and the ability to support teams in adopting new practices.
