Senior Software Engineer

Job Tag: Posted: August 18,2026 Salary: $150,000 SkyWater has partnered with a PE-backed technology company in hiring a Senior Software Engineer to help design, build, and scale the backend systems and APIs behind its internal and customer-facing platforms. You would work in C# and .NET, build RESTful APIs against OpenAPI standards, and partner closely with both internal teams and external technology partners as the company modernizes its platform. This is a hands-on engineering role with real ownership over architecture and code quality, plus the chance to mentor other engineers as the team grows. Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services and APIs using C# -Develop RESTful APIs documented to OpenAPI (Swagger) standards -Use AI-powered development tools to support efficient, high-quality software delivery -Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability -Build and maintain integrations with internal systems and external partners -Contribute to architecture, modernization, and code quality initiatives -Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues -Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and external partners -Mentor and support other engineers Desired Skills And Experience 5+ years of professional software development experience -Strong backend development experience in C# -Proven ability to build scalable, performant systems -Experience building APIs to OpenAPI standards -Excellent problem solving skills -Strong written and verbal communication, including with external partners -React experience is a plus, not required
