hofmanager+ is a farm management platform invested in by the well-known entrepreneur Robin Gassmann.
In less than six months the product has already reached 400 active users.
To strengthen backend development and support the rapidly growing platform, we are now looking for a Senior Software Engineer.
What we build
hofmanager+ is a farm management and field record platform built by a farmer for farmers.
Not a Silicon Valley product, but software rooted in real agricultural practice: offline-capable in the field, usable from a smartphone in the tractor cab, GDPR-compliant and hosted exclusively in the EU.
More than 400 user (some up to 2,000 hectares with more than 30 employees) already use the platform actively – covering machine management, field and crop planning, time tracking, recurring tasks, chat, costs, official exports (FIONA, iBALIS, LEA) and more.
Everything runs in a strict multi-tenant architecture with role-based access and row-level security.
Your role
You will take end-to-end ownership of core product areas and push the platform to the next level:
- Further development of existing modules and new features (frontend + backend)
- Architecture, performance and stability of the multi-tenant SaaS platform
- Improving offline capabilities and the mobile experience for field use
- Clean evolution of the Supabase stack (Postgres, RLS, Edge Functions, Storage, Auth)
- Code quality, testing, observability and reducing technical debt
- Close collaboration with Markus (product & practical farming expertise) and Robin (overall responsibility)
Your profile
- Several years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer, ideally with React/TypeScript and modern full-stack stacks
- Strong skills in React, TypeScript, Tailwind and modern state management (TanStack Query or similar)
- Solid experience with PostgreSQL, row-level security and Backend-as-a-Service (ideally Supabase)
- Understanding of multi-tenant architectures and production-grade SaaS systems
- High ownership, pragmatic decision-making and a preference for clean, maintainable software
- Interest in real-world agricultural problems is a plus (not a requirement)
