House of Electrical Supplies Limited is a leading electrical distribution company serving Toronto
and the surrounding areas, with a strong focus on exceptional service and long-term customer
relationships.
The eCommerce Coordinator serves as a key connection between business operations and
technology, supporting the development, enhancement, and day-to-day performance of the
company’s eCommerce platform.
This role works closely with Marketing, IT, external
development partners, and internal stakeholders to implement new features, improve website
functionality, maintain platform performance, and enhance the overall online customer
experience.
Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end implementation of digital features and enhancements across AdobeCommerce Cloud (Magento 2) and integrated platforms, ensuring projects are
completed on schedule, within scope, and within budget.
Translate business, marketing, and user experience requirements into effective technicalsolutions while working closely with internal developers, IT teams, and external
development partners.
Manage project backlogs, feature roadmaps, quality assurance testing, issue resolution,and technical documentation using tools such as Jira, Asana, Monday.com, and GitHub.
Monitor project progress and communicate timelines, priorities, risks, challenges, andrecommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Work closely with the IT team to maintain the eCommerce platform’s stability, security,performance, and compliance, while monitoring key performance indicators and
identifying areas for improvement.
Conduct regular eCommerce security audits and coordinate with IT to address identified vulnerabilities and security concerns.
Ensure website banners, user interface navigation, page layouts, and mobile responsiveness meet established quality and usability standards.
Monitor 404 errors and website logs, identifying and resolving broken links, redirects, navigation issues, and expired or inactive promotional links.
Support the development and coordination of digital and print marketing materials, including brochures, social media postings, promotional videos, newsletters, email campaigns, product catalogues, and other promotional content.
Collaborate with graphic designers and marketing team members to ensure digital content and visual materials align with brand standards and campaign objectives.
Review website content and functionality weekly to identify opportunities to improve usability, customer engagement, conversion rates, and overall online experience.
Conduct biweekly eCommerce meetings with IT Manager and Operations Director.
Provide monthly eCommerce KPI data and analysis summary to IT Manager, Operations Director, and Senior Management to identify upward/downward trends and areas that require improvements such as revenue, traffic, engagement, etc.
Attend annual conferences/summits as required for professional development requirements.
Skills and Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2+ years of experience leading the technical delivery of eCommerce features, preferably within a Magento 2 Enterprise environment.
Experience with PHP, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, SQL, XML, and JSON, with an understanding of Magento 2 architecture.
Experience managing external vendors and development agencies using Jira, GitHub, and similar workflow tools.
Strong attention to detail, robust computer skills, and ability to learn quickly.
Effective time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
Strong team player with ability to multitask and troubleshoot issues.Salary: 60K-70K CAD annually.
