Role Details We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in Java/Kotlin, cloud-native development, and distributed systems to design, build, and support scalable production banking and financial services systems. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical leadership with hands-on engineering excellence and a proven ability to deliver scalable, resilient, and contributing across the full software development lifecycle. Domain Experience Banking, payments, fintech, or financial services experience.Exposure to mission-critical, high-scale production systems, and payment network integrations.Experience building customer-facing platforms and transaction processing solutions.Understanding of security, compliance, resiliency, and operational risk requirements. Roles And Responsibilities Design, develop, and support scalable backend services, APIs, and cloud-native microservices.Build distributed and event-driven systems using messaging and asynchronous processing patterns.Drive engineering excellence through architecture, coding standards, testing, and automation.Support production systems, incident management, troubleshooting, and operational resilience.Balance long-term architecture goals with short-term delivery priorities.Collaborate across engineering teams, product owners, architects, and business stakeholders.Mentor engineers, foster knowledge sharing, and shape technical direction.Promote responsible adoption of AI-assisted software development practices.Ensure engineering output meets stakeholder expectations, security, resiliency and compliance standards. Technical Skills Strong hands-on experience with Java and/or Kotlin.Expertise in REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.Experience with AWS/multi-cloud cloud-native environments.Hands-on experience with messaging frameworks and event-driven architectures.Strong understanding of relational databases and data architecture patterns.Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, automation, and modern software delivery practices.Strong testing capabilities across Unit, Component, Integration, End-to-End, and Performance Testing.Familiarity with JVM ecosystem technologies, open-source frameworks, and production support. Non-Technical Skills Strong leadership, ownership, and problem-solving mindset.Ability to thrive in ambiguous and rapidly changing environments.Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills.Proven ability to influence engineering practices beyond immediate teams.Experience coaching and developing engineers while driving continuous improvement.
