Job Role:Automation Engineer/Linux/Unix Engineer Location : Montreal ,QC- 3 days a week (Hybrid ) Job Description : • Strong expertise in Python programming. • Advanced UNIX/Linux Shell Scripting (Bash, Korn Shell, Shell). • Experience in software deployment automation. • Experience with patch management and system automation. • Linux server administration. We are seeking an experienced Senior Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Python development, UNIX/Linux scripting, and software deployment automation. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation solutions for infrastructure patching, application deployment, system administration tasks, and operational efficiency improvements. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain automation solutions for patching and deployment. • Create and enhance automation scripts using Python and UNIX/Linux shell scripting. • Automate routine infrastructure and operational tasks and reduce manual intervention. • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing automation frameworks and scripts. • Collaborate with infrastructure, platform, application teams to implement automated solutions. • Monitor automation jobs, identify failures, and implement corrective actions. • Maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, and automation runbooks. • Participate in automation strategy discussions and process improvement initiatives.
