Position Summary Yotta Energy is seeking a hands-on DevOps Engineer II to own and optimize the software delivery lifecycle from code commit to production deployment. This role is responsible for maintaining CI/CD pipelines, managing release processes, monitoring production systems, and ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our cloud-connected platforms. You will work closely with software, hardware, and product teams to build highly automated, observable, and resilient deployment environments supporting distributed solar and energy storage technologies. This is a senior individual contributor role focused on cloud infrastructure, release engineering, automation, and operational excellence. Responsibilities Own and maintain CI/CD pipelines from development through production deploymentManage software releases, including branching strategies, build promotion, deployment, and rollback proceduresMonitor and maintain production applications, cloud infrastructure, and supporting servicesConfigure and maintain observability platforms, including logging, metrics, monitoring, and alertingTroubleshoot production incidents, performance bottlenecks, and system reliability issuesDevelop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CDK, Pulumi, or similar toolsCollaborate with software engineers to ensure applications are deployable, testable, and production readySupport integration of cloud services, IoT devices, and embedded systems into deployment workflowsMaintain release documentation, operational runbooks, and incident response proceduresImplement security, scalability, reliability, and disaster recovery best practicesContinuously improving deployment automation, release velocity, and system observability Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience3+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Cloud Operations, or Infrastructure EngineeringExperience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, GitLab CI/CD, or similar platformsStrong proficiency with Git workflows and release management practicesExperience deploying and supporting cloud-native applications in AWS, Azure, or Google CloudStrong knowledge of AWS services, including Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, DynamoDB, EC2, RDS, S3, Route 53, Load Balancers, and IAMExperience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, Pulumi, or AnsibleProficiency in Python, Bash, or another scripting languageExperience implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting solutionsStrong troubleshooting, incident response, and root-cause analysis skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environmentsExperience with observability platforms such as Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, or Open TelemetryFamiliarity with Linux administration and package managementExperience with serverless frameworks, particularly SSTExperience with embedded systems, IoT devices, or hardware/software integrationBackground in renewable energy, solar, energy storage, or industrial automationExperience working in startup or high-growth technology environmentsFamiliarity with Agile software development methodologies Bonus Skills VPN configuration and secure network architectureKey vault and secrets managementTLS/PKI certificate lifecycle managementInfrastructure security, vulnerability management, and patchingZero-trust networking and access control modelsDisaster recovery and business continuity planning Who May Not Be a Fit Prefer to work independently without collaborating across teamsStruggle with ambiguity, competing priorities, or tight deadlinesAren’t willing to roll up your sleeves and help wherever neededAvoid accountability or have difficulty receiving and acting on feedback Technical Competencies CI/CD Pipeline EngineeringCloud Infrastructure & OperationsInfrastructure as Code (IaC)Release ManagementProduction Monitoring & ObservabilityIncident Response & TroubleshootingContainerization & OrchestrationSoftware Security & ComplianceSystem Reliability & ScalabilityCloud Networking & Integration What We Offer Competitive salary and benefits package Collaborative, mission-driven work environment Opportunity to work on innovative clean energy technologies Career growth and professional development opportunities Exposure to cutting-edge energy management and cloud technologiesUp to 135,000 a year DOE Comprehensive benefits package Collaborative, mission driven work environment Work Authorization Requirement Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future employer sponsorship.
