Job Description
Curinos is looking for a DevOps Manager to lead our cloud migration, automation, and release engineering initiatives as we rapidly scale and mature our systems.
This role combines hands-on technical expertise with people leadership, overseeing a team responsible for building and maintaining reliable, scalable, and secure systems in a cloud-based environment.
A strong candidate will bring experience with AWS, experience leading collaborative engineering teams, and a practical orientation toward building scalable operational solutions and processes.
Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of DevOps/Site Reliability engineers by setting clear expectations, defining measurable success metrics, and fostering a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, collaboration, and operational excellenceProvide stable, secure, and reliable infrastructure across our production and non-production environments, ensuring high-availability, performance, and operational resilience while supporting engineering agilityOwn the design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to support fast, reliable software deliveryArchitect and manage cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS), ensuring scalability, security, and cost-efficiencyDrive infrastructure-as-code practices using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormationIdentify possible efficiency gains through AIEstablish and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure high availability and rapid incident responseProvide a strong leadership presence, establishing and coaching a growth mindset and culture that includes active mentorship and career progressionPartner with engineering, security, and product teams to align infrastructure strategy with business goalsDrive stakeholder engagement and change management for infrastructure initiatives, ensuring new capabilities are effectively communicated, aligned to business and engineering needs, and successfully adopted across the organizationManage on-call rotations, incident response processes, and post-mortem reviewsOversee capacity planning, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategiesEvaluate and implement new tools, technologies, and best practices to improve system reliability and team efficiencyProvide production support as part of a 24/7 on-call rotation

Hybrid Environments: Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environmentsAWS Cloud Infrastructure: AWS certification(s), such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or equivalent hands-on experience designing, operating, and improving AWS-based infrastructureGrowth: Prior experience scaling infrastructure for a high-growth organizationAI and Efficiency: Experience using AI tooling to improve team velocity, quality, or efficiency, such as Amazon Q, Copilot, Claude, or comparable toolsTechnical Leadership: Ability to mentor team members, share technical expertise, and help others develop confidence and capability in DevOps, SRE, and infrastructure engineering practicesPeople Leadership: Experience managing teams with a mix of experience levels, creating an environment where team members understand expectations, are supported in their growth, and are empowered to deliver high-quality outcomes
Salary Range: $160,000- $175,000 CAD (plus bonus)
Desired Skills & Expertise
At least 3 years of experience in a management role with direct reports within DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure EngineeringHands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Lambda, ECS/EKS, or comparable cloud servicesProven experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, CircleCI)Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch)Familiarity with scripting/automation languages (Python, Bash, or similar)Strong understanding of networking, security, and system administration fundamentalsExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholdersBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experienceDemonstrated experience mentoring and improving the performance of other engineers
