Description

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner! The Role • Take responsibility for the operation, stability, and further development of our managed Kubernetes service, focusing on reliability, security, and performance. • Develop and operate automated workflows for provisioning, operating, and rolling out our Kubernetes platform and cloud-native services using tools like GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD (GitOps), and Crossplane (IaC). • Collaborate closely with Managed Observability and Managed PostgreSQL teams, advise on cloud-native application deployments, and support colleagues with Kubernetes, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation questions. • Plan and implement updates, security patches, and new product versions for our managed Kubernetes service to ensure secure, highly available, and modern platform operations. • Establish and maintain platform policies and security standards, including using Kyverno, and actively drive the technological advancement of the entire tool stack. What You'll Need • Several years of practical experience in operating and developing Kubernetes platforms (managed or self-hosted), with a deep understanding of cloud-native architectures, security, and scaling. • A successfully completed university degree (e.g., Computer Science, Business Informatics, or equivalent), ideally with above-average results and a strong technical focus. • Very good knowledge of Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, Crossplane, and ideally experience with Kyverno; proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code, GitOps patterns, and container technologies like Docker. • Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken, enabling clear communication in international and German-speaking teams and on complex technical topics. • A proactive, structured, and solution-oriented approach, high self-responsibility, team spirit, and the passion to continuously improve our platform with new ideas, clean automation, and a high quality standard.
