Description

What we do RELEX Solutions delivers a unified supply chain planning platform for retailers and manufacturers, enabled by proven AI technology. We help companies optimize demand forecasting, replenishment, merchandising, pricing and promotions, supply chain operations, and production planning across the end-to-end value chain. With a global team of over 2,000 professionals, we work side-by-side with our customers to solve real problems with lasting impact. Companies trust RELEX to increase product availability, boost sales, deliver actionable insights, improve sustainability, and drive profitable growth. Join us and make an impact on the world and your career! In response to our fast growth and market expansion, we are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join our Merchandising team. Merchandising builds the systems retailers use to decide what to sell, where, and at what price. Those decisions ripple out into less waste, better-stocked shelves, and fairer pricing for millions of shoppers. In this role you own a product end to end: how it's built, how it runs in production, and how it evolves based on what customers actually need. That takes real technical depth plus enough product and business judgment to make the call yourself. What we need you to do and be Own the codebase and technical outcomes for your product end to end, from the architecture calls to the quality bar to catching regressions before customers do Build, ship and maintain production-quality code across the full stack Work directly with customers, gathering structured feedback and validating that what you build solves the business problem, not just the ticket as written Raise the bar around you through code review, design feedback and hands-on mentorship, so the engineers near you get better, not only your own output Work AI-fluently: use AI tools to move faster, and review AI-generated code as critically as you would a teammate's You may join a product close to a minimum viable product (MVP) milestone, build deep context alongside the team that built it, then take full technical ownership at handover. That is the shape recent Lead hires into Merchandising have taken, not a hypothetical. What you'll bring to the table A track record of owning a product or service end to end at senior level or above, including the product decisions and not only the technical ones Full-stack proficiency across backend, frontend and data layers, with real depth in at least one Experience mentoring or technically leading other engineers, formally or informally Distributed systems experience: you have designed for failure and scale, and run what you built in production Clear technical communication, so you can explain a trade-off to a non-technical stakeholder as easily as to another engineer Comfortable with using AI in your everyday work and developing the use of AI tools as a larger organizational strategy Fluent in written and spoken English Nice to have: exposure to retail, merchandising, or pricing and promotions More important: you have worked on products where forecasting, regression, or optimization sit at the core, and you are used to reasoning about model behavior rather than just shipping features around it What we offer in return You'll be supported and given the space to thrive. We offer meaningful work, flexibility, and a culture that backs you to share your voice and be authentic. An international career and learning opportunities A rapidly growing and financially robust software company with exciting opportunities for career growth, also in the future RELEX key benefits Flexibility in how and where you work Room to thrive in a fast-growing global company with a good market position Practical benefits that support work, family, wellness, and everyday life Annual leave Diverse, inclusive, and supportive work culture Work that meaningfully reduces waste and improves sustainability Ownership, autonomy and flat hierarchies Two paid volunteering days each year We are a global community of different cultures, voices, and experiences. We celebrate what makes us unique and connect through what we share, in an authentic and safe environment. Together we shape the future, and each other. Please note that to be considered for this position, you must be fluent in English, be based in Sweden and hold a valid work permit for said country. We're excited to connect with applicants who meet these criteria and share our passion to do hard things, trust each other, and build what's next for the product, the planet, and the people. If you feel this is the opportunity you don't want to miss, you can apply by sending your cover letter and resume through the application form as soon as possible.
