Job title: Site Reliability Engineer Client: Elite Trading Firm Salary: $1,200,000-$2,500,000 HKD Location: Hong Kong Skills: Linux, Python, CI/CD, SQL, Networks The role: My client, an elite global Trading firm, are seeking an experienced SRE to join their team. The ideal candidate will already have worked in an established Trading firm, be used to low latency infrastructure, and solving complex problems at scale. Responsibilities: Ensuring uptime and availability of high throughput, high performance systemsAutomating menial tasks wherever possibleSolving technically complex technical issues using out of the box thinkingDelivering new solutions based on repetitive issuesEvangelising the SRE mindset across the firm Core abilities required: Experienced SRE, ideally stemming from a Trading backgroundProficient in PythonComfortable with various software development tools and SDLC practices (Testing, Source Control, Build, CI/CD and so on)Extensive experience working on highly performant, tuned Linux systemsExperience working with SQL, and JavaScript is highly desirableIdeally stems from a Software Development backgroundIdeally a degree within a relevant discipline (ideally Computer Science), or within the STEM field This is a career changing opportunity at one of the world’s most desirable firms to work for.
