Senior Systems Engineer The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join a growing technology-focused organisation in Malta. This is a hands-on senior infrastructure role where you will play a key part in designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining modern IT environments. You’ll work across cloud, Microsoft technologies, networking, security, virtualisation, and automation, while contributing to important infrastructure projects and improvements. The organisation operates within a technology-driven business environment, supporting critical IT infrastructure and services and continuously investing in modern technologies, security, and operational efficiency. The Role As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will take ownership of complex infrastructure initiatives and provide technical expertise across the organisation. You will: Design, implement, and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure.Lead and contribute to infrastructure and cloud projects.Manage and optimise Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365.Work with Microsoft Azure and other cloud technologies.Manage and support networking, security, virtualisation, and infrastructure services.Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and security.Identify opportunities for automation and operational improvements.Develop and maintain technical documentation and infrastructure standards.Assess existing environments and recommend improvements.Research and introduce new technologies where they can add value.Provide technical guidance and support to other members of the team.Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to deliver infrastructure projects.What We’re Looking For Proven experience as a Senior Systems Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or similar role.Strong experience with enterprise Microsoft environments.Good knowledge of Azure, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Entra ID.Strong understanding of networking, including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPNs, routing, and firewalls.Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or other virtualisation technologies.Knowledge of infrastructure security and best practices.Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation.Scripting or automation experience, particularly PowerShell, is highly desirable.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.A proactive approach and the ability to work independently.A genuine interest in technology and continuous learning.A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline is advantageous.What’s On Offer Hybrid workingHealth InsuranceStudy LeaveCareer Growth & Personal Development SupportMobile SubscriptionRegular Team Get-togethers & Social ActivitiesParking Benefit by RotationRelocation Package, including Relocation AssistanceA collaborative environment with strong opportunities for professional developmentInterested?
