Our partner is looking for a Senior Application Developer (AWS, C#) based in Canada.
This is a senior software engineering opportunity focused on building innovative, cloud-native SaaS products for clinical analytics.
You will design and develop complex, event-driven and distributed applications that support data-intensive workflows and decision-making.
The role combines deep backend engineering with extensive use of AWS services and modern .NET technologies.
You’ll work in small, agile teams alongside engineers, DevOps professionals, and UX/UI designers to deliver impactful product features.

You’ll have the opportunity to work with emerging technologies, including generative AI and Amazon Bedrock.

Accountabilities
Design, develop, test, and deliver scalable software products using C#/.NET and AWS cloud technologies.Build and maintain event-based, distributed applications and cloud-native SaaS solutions.Develop product features using AWS services such as ECS, S3, EventBridge, Lambda, Step Functions, Route 53, RDS PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, DocumentDB, and Glue.Implement robust application architecture with a focus on scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability.Develop and integrate messaging-based solutions, including RabbitMQ and similar technologies.Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, DevOps professionals, and fellow engineers throughout the product development lifecycle.Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, planning, technical discussions, code reviews, and iterative delivery.Contribute to application monitoring, observability, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.Apply secure development practices and support a shift-left approach to application security.Contribute to integrations with third-party authentication and security services.Explore and implement innovative capabilities involving generative AI and cloud-based AI services where appropriate.Translate complex technical challenges into practical, understandable solutions for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
6+ years of professional experience building and delivering event-based, distributed software products.3+ years of experience developing and deploying SaaS products in an AWS cloud environment.Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly ECS, S3, EventBridge, Lambda, Step Functions, Route 53, RDS PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, DocumentDB, and Glue.Strong proficiency in C# and .NET 8.Experience with messaging systems; RabbitMQ experience is preferred.Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.Strong understanding of cloud-native application development, distributed systems, and SaaS architectures.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.Strong collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.Demonstrated creative problem-solving skills, ownership, initiative, and willingness to learn new technologies.Experience with application monitoring and observability platforms such as Instana, New Relic, or Datadog is desirable.Experience integrating third-party authentication services, such as Auth0, is a plus.Experience developing generative AI features or working with Amazon Bedrock is an advantage.Familiarity with security-focused development practices and tools such as Snyk is desirable.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent discipline is preferred.Experience in clinical, bioinformatics, healthcare, or other life-sciences environments is a plus.
