About The Role We are seeking an experienced and opinionated Principal Java Engineer to join our high-performing engineering team. This role is pivotal in designing and developing low-latency, high-throughput systems within the payments processing domain. Based in the UK, this hybrid position offers an exciting opportunity to build scalable, real-time services utilizing modern cloud and container technologies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for performance optimization, deep expertise in Core Java and Spring Boot, and thrive in a collaborative yet opinionated engineering environment. As a key technical leader, you will influence architectural decisions, mentor peers, and drive initiatives to improve system resilience, observability, and performance.
