Founding Senior Full Stack Engineer 📍 Munich, Germany (On-site) 💼 Full-time 💰 €90,000 - €130,000 + Equity About the Role We're partnering with an ambitious, early-stage, medi-tech startup looking to hire a Founding Senior Full Stack Engineer to join their core team. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with the founding team, shape the technical vision, and play a pivotal role in building and scaling a product from the ground up. As one of the first engineering hires, you'll have significant influence over architecture, technology decisions, engineering culture, and product direction. We're looking for someone who thrives in high-ownership environments, enjoys solving complex problems, and is excited by the challenge of building technology that can have real-world impact. What You'll Be Doing Develop and scale backend systems and customer-facing web applicationsOwn product features from concept through to deployment and optimisationWork closely with founders and cross-functional teams to shape product strategyDesign and implement scalable, maintainable, and secure software architecturesBuild and maintain APIs and backend servicesDrive engineering best practices, testing, and code quality standardsImplement and improve CI/CD processes and deployment workflowsStay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends Required Experience 5+ years of commercial software engineering experienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related disciplineStrong backend development experience with Python and FastAPIExperience building modern web applications using: JavaScript / TypeScript | React | Next.jsSolid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) principlesExperience working with automated testing and CI/CD pipelinesExperience operating in startup, scale-up, or similarly high-ownership environmentsStrong communication skills with fluent written and spoken English Preferred Experience Experience working within regulated industries such as healthcare, fintech, or insuranceExposure to mobile development frameworks, particularly FlutterExperience with cloud infrastructure and services, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP)Previous experience as an early engineering hire or founding engineer Who We're Looking For The ideal candidate: Takes ownership and accountability for outcomesHas a strong builder mentality and enjoys creating solutions from scratchIs comfortable operating in fast-moving, evolving environmentsCan think strategically while remaining hands-on technicallyDemonstrates strong problem-solving skills and systems thinkingCommunicates openly, collaborates effectively, and embraces feedbackIs motivated by the opportunity to help build a business from an early stage What's on Offer Competitive salary: €90,000 - €120,000Meaningful equity packageDirect impact on product, technology, and company directionOpportunity to work closely with an experienced founding teamSignificant career growth potential as the business scalesA chance to be part of building something from the very beginning Interested in learning more?
