Kubernetes Platform Engineering Team Lead

Type of contract: Employment contract Salary range: 15900 - 24300 PLN gross What will you do? Join a global Platform Engineering team responsible for delivering and maintaining an enterprise Kubernetes platform for internal customers worldwide. You will lead a local team in Poland, drive platform automation and lifecycle management, improve reliability and performance, and support the evolution from traditional DevOps practices to a mature Platform Engineering model within a large international banking environment. Your tasks Provide end-to-end platform engineering and lifecycle management for the Internal Kubernetes PlatformBuild automation, APIs and platform operations solutions to manage infrastructure and service lifecycleImprove reliability, quality and efficiency of platform and service upgradesMonitor, measure and optimize system performance, availability and capacityCreate dashboards and visualizations to increase platform transparencyDevelop self-healing solutions and automate operational processesSupport software development teams with platform engineering, architecture and operational guidanceImplement infrastructure changes during maintenance windows when requiredManage the monthly schedule and workload of the local engineering teamCollaborate with the Global Engineering Team Lead on planning and delivery activitiesImplement infrastructure changes during maintenance windows, including approximately two weekends per month Your skills Hands-on experience with Linux, containers and Kubernetes in production environmentsStrong knowledge of Kubernetes ecosystem components such as Istio, Cilium and CSI solutionsExperience in platform engineering, infrastructure automation and lifecycle managementProficiency in Bash and programming with Python or GolangExperience with Jenkins, Ansible and infrastructure orchestration toolsExperience with observability platforms such as Splunk and DatadogExperience working with GitHub and software development lifecycle processesKnowledge of infrastructure operations and enterprise platform managementITIL awarenessProactive problem-solving and continuous improvement mindsetFluent English communication skills Nice to have Experience working in a large-scale enterprise banking environmentExperience supporting multi-tenant Kubernetes platformsExperience leading or mentoring engineering teamsKnowledge of Private Cloud platforms We offer Hybrid work our client's office (Kraków) 6 days a monthAvailability to participate in planned maintenance activities outside standard business hours, including approximately two weekends per monthWorking in a highly experienced and dedicated teamBenefit package tailored to your needs (medical, sport, lunch subsidy, life insurance, etc.)Online training and certificationsAccess to e-learning platformSocial events
