Are you passionate about building secure, scalable backend systems? Our client is looking for a Backend Software Engineer to join their engineering team and help build a next-generation enterprise search platform that enables employees to securely discover knowledge across multiple internal systems.
Location: Petaling Jaya (Fully Onsite)

Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
What You'll DoDesign, build, test, deploy, and maintain backend services using Go (Python is used occasionally).Develop secure APIs for enterprise search, user identity, permissions, and data synchronization.Integrate with AWS services including OpenSearch, DynamoDB, S3, and third-party APIs.Improve system performance, reliability, monitoring, logging, and operational readiness.Write unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, and maintain technical documentation.Collaborate with product, infrastructure, and security teams in an agile environment.
What We're Looking For1+ years of backend software engineering experience (or strong equivalent hands-on experience).Experience with Go or Python, with a willingness to become proficient in Go.Good understanding of backend development fundamentals:RESTful APIsDatabasesData structures & algorithmsConcurrencyDebuggingExperience with DynamoDB or other NoSQL databases.Familiarity with asynchronous processing or event-driven systems.Exposure to AWS, Docker/Kubernetes (EKS preferred), and CI/CD pipelines.Strong problem-solving skills, ownership mindset, and excellent communication.
