Senior AWS DevOps Engineer

Role - Senior AWS DevOps Engineer Location - Sydney Must have 9+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services including EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager, and RDS/Aurora.Strong expertise in GitLab SaaS, CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and release orchestration.Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and configuration management tools such as Ansible.Strong Linux administration and shell scripting skills (Bash/Python).Experience supporting mission-critical production systems in highly regulated environments.Strong understanding of deployment strategies, change management, environment management, and release governance.Experience implementing monitoring, logging, observability, and incident management capabilities.Strong troubleshooting skills across application, database, infrastructure, and networking layers.Experience with secrets management solutions such as HashiCorp Vault.Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work across Engineering, QA, Operations, Security, and Architecture teams.Nice to have Experience working with the Calypso platform or capital markets trading, clearing, collateral, or risk systems.Experience with Oracle-to-Aurora PostgreSQL migrations.Experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration, and cloud-native deployment patterns.Exposure to OpenTelemetry, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, or enterprise observability platforms.Experience with Liquibase, database automation, schema migrations, and configuration management.Knowledge of financial services, exchange infrastructure, or regulated technology environments.Exposure to test automation frameworks and DevOps-driven Quality Engineering practices.Familiarity with ITIL processes including Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management.Experience supporting large-scale cloud transformation and platform modernization initiatives.Preferred Tooling & Technologies Cloud: AWS (EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, IAM, Aurora PostgreSQL, VPC, CloudWatch)DevOps: GitLab SaaS, Terraform, Ansible, HashiCorp Vault, LiquibaseLanguages: Python, Bash, SQLMonitoring & Observability: CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, Splunk, ELK, GrafanaDatabase: Aurora PostgreSQL, OracleVersion Control: Git, GitLabOperating Systems: Linux / UnixFinancial Platforms (Preferred): Calypso, Clearing, Collateral Management, Capital Markets SystemsInterested Candidates can share their updated resumes to nidhi.goyal@carecone.com.au or can reach me at +61 291 575 539
