Role Description The DevOps Specialist will support and enhance SteedWeb’s hosting and infrastructure platforms as part of a full-time hybrid role based in Hong Kong SAR, with some work-from-home flexibility.
Day-to-day responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure deployment and configuration, and ensuring reliable operations across Linux-based environments and Kubernetes clusters.
The role involves collaborating with software development and operations teams to improve scalability, performance, and security, as well as monitoring systems, troubleshooting incidents, and optimizing resource usage.
The DevOps Specialist will also contribute to documentation, participate in on-call or incident response rotations, and help drive best practices in automation, observability, and release management.
Qualifications
Strong experience in DevOps and Software Development, with the ability to collaborate closely with engineering teams.Proficiency in Continuous Integration and Integration practices, including designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes for container orchestration and deployment in production environments.Solid knowledge of Linux system administration, shell scripting, and performance tuning.Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and configuration management.Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and modern monitoring/logging stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).Understanding of networking fundamentals, security best practices, and high-availability architectures.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Prior experience in hosting, internet infrastructure, or related industries is an advantage.
