Employment: Permanent Role Experience: 7+ Years Location: Sydney, Australia (Hybrid) Eligibility: Candidates must have full working rights in Australia (Citizen, PR, or Valid Visa holders). Required Skills & Experience Experience in developing enterprise backend applications using Java 11+/17+, Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring Security.Strong expertise in microservices, REST/gRPC APIs, event-driven architecture, and messaging platforms such as Kafka or IBM MQ.Solid experience with database design and data modelling, including PostgreSQL/SQL Server, SQL optimization, indexing, performance tuning, and Flyway/Liquibase.Strong understanding of system design and architecture, including scalable distributed systems, API design, security, performance, reliability, and design patterns.Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure, Git, Bitbucket, Artifactory, and CI/CD.Experience developing robust automated tests using JUnit, Mockito, Testcontainers, and contract testing frameworks. Nice to Have Experience with Python for automation or scripting.Knowledge of SWIFT MT messaging and Trade Finance products.Experience in Banking or Financial Services environments.Exposure to Temporal, Camunda, Drools, or legacy system integrations (COBOL/IBM MQ).
