We’re looking for a Failure Analysis Engineer to join a cutting-edge technology team in the Netherlands.
You’ll be the go-to expert for troubleshooting mechatronic and electronic equipment failures, performing root cause analyses (RCA), and creating technical reports that drive real product improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and troubleshoot machinery and product failuresPerform root cause analysis (RCA) on PCBs and electronic systemsDocument findings in clear, detailed technical reportsPartner with quality, product, and manufacturing teams to implement corrective and preventive actionsSupport both internal manufacturing and external clients with containment measures and reliability improvementsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve systemic issues and prevent recurrence
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (BSc/BEng) in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field3+ Years of experience troubleshooting electronic systemsProven experience performing root cause analyses on a PCB level and RCA methodologies (must have)Background in semiconductor manufacturing, electronics, or complex automation systemsHands-on experience in the use of Lab Equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope ect.)Strong analytical skills and ability to write structured, technical reportsExcellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)Proactive mindset, high sense of responsibility, and ownership of problems from start to finish
We Offer
1-2 year contract (40 hours/week) with the possibility of permanent employment.Monthly gross salary: €3,500 - €5,000 (based on experience and education).25 paid vacation days + paid public holidays.Holiday allowance of 8.33%, paid annually in May.Travel reimbursement: €0.23/km.Relocation support:First housing arranged and upfront payment of rent/deposit if needed€1,500 - €3,000 net relocation bonusPick-up on arrival and onboarding support (bank, BSN, insurance, etc.)Work permit and visa assistance (if applicable).Team onboarding events and community support.
