Logistics Role Type: Full-time Permanent Role Environment: On-site 2-3x/week Salary: $130k-$160k/yr + equity Job Description Day-to-Day Insight Global is looking for a Software Engineer, AI & Platform to join one of our high-growth technology clients on a hybrid basis in Vancouver. This person will operate as a mid-level software engineer focused on designing, building, testing, deploying, and maintaining product features across the company’s AI and platform capabilities. Day to day, this engineer will work closely with product, customer success, and implementation teams to resolve customer questions, address support tickets, improve existing functionality, and build new product features that drive customer value. A large portion of the role will involve working with LLMs, writing and evaluating prompts, understanding model outputs, integrating with AI providers, and helping determine which models are best suited for different product use cases. This engineer will also help identify and solve system-level challenges that impact time to value for customers. The company already has a live product and an active customer base, so this role will balance new feature development with ongoing product maintenance, bug resolution, and customer-driven improvements. Must Haves 5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally as a full-stack or backend engineer1 to 2 years of hands-on AI experience, including exposure to LLMs, prompt engineering, AI providers, and LLM-based application developmentExperience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services for SaaS platformsStrong engineering fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, system design, and problem-solvingHands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google CloudSolid understanding of SQL and NoSQL database systemsAbility to write production-quality code in a modern programming languageStrong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with product, customer success, and implementation teamsCustomer-centric mindset with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment Plusses Experience with Node.js, MongoDB, AWS platforms, and AWS servicesPrevious experience in a SaaS startup environmentExperience working at a large or well-known technology companyExperience working with or integrating into modern sales technology stacks, including CRMs or sales engagement platformsExperience partnering closely with customer success or implementation teams to resolve customer issues and improve product outcomes
