Modern Technology Solutions, Inc is seeking a Software Engineering Intern for Fall 2026. Internship will span from September - December and will accommodate class schedule. Position Overview We are seeking a talented and motivated Full-Stack Software Engineering Intern to join our agile development team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between design and technology by developing high-fidelity Figma prototypes into responsive, functional web applications. You will work with Software Engineers to write production-level Python backend code, manage cloud components in AWS, and Confluence, and participate fully in Scrum sprint cycles to deliver features from concept to deployment. Key Responsibilities Cloud Administration: Manage Atlassian administration tasks including interfacing with vendors to onboard new users, remove users, and perform backups.Figma-to-Code Implementation: Develop UI/UX designs, wireframes, and interactive prototypes from Figma into responsive frontend code.Full-Stack Development: Write clean, maintainable Python code for backend services and APIs to power user-facing interfaces.Agile Collaboration: Actively participate in all Scrum rituals, including daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.Testing & Quality Assurance: Write unit/integration tests and collaborate with design and product teams to ensure visual and functional alignment. Qualifications Required Design-to-Development Lifecycle: Willingness to learn and build interfaces using FigmaFrontend Technologies: General understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern styling methodologies (e.g., Tailwind CSS, CSS Modules, or Styled Components).Backend Technologies: Foundational knowledge of Python and backend frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Django, or Flask).Version Control: Experience with Git and standard branching along with push/pull request workflows. Preferred Qualifications Frontend Frameworks: Experience with modern web libraries like React, Vue.js, or Angular.AWS Services: Hands-on exposure to core AWS services (e.g., Lambda, EC2, S3, or RDS).Scrum Experience: Familiarity with Agile frameworks and project management tools like Jira, Linear, or Trello. Education Enrolled in or recently graduated from a Computer Science, Information Systems, or other software engineering program. NOTE: U.S. Citizenship required for clearance purposes. The pay range for this position is $44,000/year to $50,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors.
