Full Stack Engineer

Location : Remote (Latin America) Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 6 PM CT (40 hours/week) Type: Full-time · Independent Contractor Start Date : Immediate About the Company Our client is a venture studio, and one of the companies in their portfolio is the number one producer of scrapers on Apify. They build and run software startups, plus the internal systems the whole portfolio runs on. The team is small, ships fast, and has several products live at once. About the Role You will grow the products that already make money and build the next ones. Some weeks that means scaling a scraper product with real customers on it, some weeks a new internal tool, some weeks wiring APIs together so the go-to-market team stops doing something by hand. You work directly with the founder on what to build. How it gets built is yours: put something small in front of real users, see if they want it, then build it properly. You will have interns reporting to you from the start and a say in who joins as the team grows. Who You Are You have 5+ years building software and have shipped products end to end, not just tickets.You have worked at a startup where the job was whatever needed doing that week. You want a number to hit and you go get it.You write TypeScript and Node without hesitation and you are comfortable in React.You have pulled data out of other systems, through APIs or scraping, and you know what breaks: rate limits, auth, blocks, and dirty data.You live in Claude Code or Codex, and you have opinions about where those tools help and where they do not.You have real things you've built outside of work, projects we can actually open and try, backed up by an active GitHubYou speak and write fluent English, work without supervision, and keep a small team in the loop without being asked. Key Responsibilities Grow and scale the scraper products running on Apify, in reliability, coverage, and revenue.Build new products across the portfolio, from database schema through the interface people actually use.Prove demand before you build. Ship something small, watch whether it gets used, then commit.Own and improve the homegrown systems the businesses already run on.Wire third-party APIs into automations that drive go-to-market work: outreach, enrichment, and reporting.Work inside AI coding agents daily and set the standard for how the rest of the team uses them.Design and query PostgreSQL schemas with Prisma, and keep the data clean at volume.Own the deploy path through GitHub Actions, including the occasional SSH session into a self-hosted Ubuntu server.Bonus Points You have published an Actor on Apify or shipped on a similar marketplace.You have taken a product from early traction to real scale.You have worked inside a venture studio, agency, or holding company with several products running at once.You have run end-to-end tests with Playwright.You have mentored or managed engineers, or you want to. What Success Looks Like First 90 Days You have shipped work to production across at least two different products.You have made a measurable improvement to one of the scraper products, in reliability, coverage, or revenue.You have replaced at least one manual go-to-market process with an API automation.Ongoing You ship on a predictable cadence across several products without dropping threads.You test demand on new ideas before the team spends months building them.You get real output from the interns under you and help hire the engineers who come next.
