Description
Full Stack Engineer
Location: Atlanta, GA β Hybrid
The Mission
Enterprise marketing teams have more data than they've ever had and less control over it than they'd like to admit.
Personalization gets promised in every pitch deck and delivered in maybe one campaign out of ten.
Orchestration β actually getting the right message to the right person through the right channel at the right moment β is where most MarTech stacks quietly fall apart.
Block+Tackle builds the systems that make that work for real.
We're growing our engineering team to help build the next generation of solutions in this space, and we're looking for a Full Stack Engineer who wants to fight in that particular trench: data-driven personalization and orchestration, at enterprise scale, where "it works in the demo" isn't good enough.
You won't find a stale, solved problem here.
Parts of what we're building are still being defined.
We'll tell you straight what's settled and what's still taking shape β and we want someone who's energized by that, not rattled by it.
What You'll Do
Build full stack features end-to-end β from the frontend experience (React / Next.js, Material UI) through the backend APIs and services behind themDesign and evolve backend systems using Django REST Framework, with real business logic and rules enforced under the hoodOwn the integration points between the application and the systems it depends on β including how data moves, and how things get handled when they don't move cleanlyBuild and support multi-tenant capabilities, the kind of architecture enterprise clients require when every customer needs their own isolated, configured environmentDebug across the full stack β UI, API, and database β and occasionally a layer further into adjacent systemsOwn QA, integration testing, and release quality at the seams where systems meet, because that's where real bugs actually liveHelp modernize and rebuild legacy capability the right way as we retire what came before
What You Bring
Must-haves:
True full stack chops β confident across frontend, backend APIs, and a relational database, not just fluent in one layer and dangerous in the othersHands-on experience with React and/or Next.js, plus modern JavaScript or TypeScriptRelational database experience (PostgreSQL or comparable) β you can read a schema and write a query when the UI is lying to youReal debugging instincts β you trace an issue across UI, API, and data instead of guessing and hopingComfortable reading code you didn't write, and asking sharp questions about itComfort with ambiguity β some of this is still being decided, and you'll build the parts that are ready while the rest settlesClear communication with technical and non-technical people alikeNice-to-haves:
Django or Django REST Framework experienceMaterial UI or a comparable component libraryMulti-tenant application experience β tenant isolation, provisioning, per-tenant configurationExposure to large-scale or real-time data processing systemsExposure to AI/ML-integrated product features β personalization, recommendation, or orchestration logic in particularCI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, or cloud deployment experience (Azure)Enterprise MarTech, campaign management, CMS, or SaaS backgroundThe Fine Print

Why Block+Tackle
We built Block+Tackle to fix the constant miscommunication between marketing and data teams β and over a decade later, that's still the mission.
We're the technical backbone and the hands-on operators who turn "that's impossible" into "done," across Ecosystem Architecture, Marketing Sciences, Experience Operations, and Customer Strategy.
Enterprise personalization and orchestration is one of the hardest problems in MarTech, and we're building the team that solves it for real.
And yes, we're always down to geek out, talk shop, and debate whether Han Solo really did shoot first.
