About the position
Al As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will work on the technical foundation used to deploy, manage and automate a global SaaS platform.
This is not a traditional infrastructure administration role or a pure Cloud Architect position.
You will actively build the tooling used to create, configure, update, migrate, back up and manage customer environments.
Kubernetes and containerization play an important role within the infrastructure, while Azure is currently the primary cloud platform.
For backend development and automation, the team mainly works with Python and Go, alongside technologies such as Linux, SQL, Terraform, Puppet and Ansible.
You will take ownership of the full infrastructure lifecycle and continuously look for opportunities to automate manual processes and make the platform more scalable, reliable and efficient.
What will you do?
Develop and maintain scalable tooling for managing SaaS customer environmentsOrchestrate containerized workloads and deployments using KubernetesBuild systems for deploying and managing applications, databases and network components across global infrastructureDevelop backend and automation tooling, primarily using PythonAutomate operational processes and create self-service solutionsImprove the performance, scalability, monitoring and reliability of critical infrastructure toolingWork with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management using technologies such as Terraform, Puppet and AnsibleTroubleshoot complex issues across Linux, cloud, database and infrastructure environmentsCollaborate closely with SRE, Hosting, Observability, Developer Experience and software development teamsParticipate in L2/L3 support and a rotating on-call schedule for complex or business-critical incidents.
Who are you?
You are an experienced engineer who does not simply want to maintain infrastructure, but wants to improve, automate and develop it.
You enjoy working at the intersection of infrastructure and software engineering and prefer solving the underlying cause of a problem rather than repeatedly performing the same manual task.
Ideally, you bring:Strong experience with Python, preferably for infrastructure, backend development or automationGood knowledge of Linux and BashExperience with Kubernetes, container orchestration or similar technologiesExperience with Infrastructure as Code, such as TerraformExperience with configuration management tools such as Puppet or AnsibleExperience with relational databases and SQLExperience working with cloud infrastructure, with Azure being particularly relevantExperience automating and managing complex production environmentsAn interest in modern AI-assisted or AI-native software developmentThe ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across technical teams
