Senior PHP Web Developer

Job Summary We are looking for a Sr. PHP Web Developer to join the Web Development team, reporting to the Web Development Manager. This is a full-time, exempt, salaried, on-site position for someone dedicated to the art of programming who can immediately contribute to a fun and rapidly expanding business. The ideal candidate writes clean, optimized code to a high standard, in a timely and scalable way that improves the company's product code base. This role focuses on improving integration between various systems and databases (backend), as well as assisting with customer-facing properties (frontend), and will work closely with the Web Development Manager to develop solutions and applications from concepting/brainstorming through final testing and deployment. Key Responsibilities Responsibility 1: Follow industry best practices to produce clean, well-designed, and secure code. Responsibility 2: Produce detailed specifications and system models for new solutions. Responsibility 3: Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality. Responsibility 4: Contribute during all phases of the development lifecycle, taking input and feedback from various departments and stakeholders. Responsibility 5: Develop and deploy new features, modules, and systems when necessary. Responsibility 6: Mentor junior team members to develop skills and usage of emerging technologies. Requirements Education: Not specified; equivalent hands-on experience will be considered Experience: 5+ years of proven software application development experience in PHP, with Laravel and Vue Skills: Demonstrable knowledge of writing SQL and Eloquent queries; good knowledge of relational databases (MSSQL); knowledge of GitHub version control and its practical applications; experience with common third-party platforms and APIs (AWS, Google, etc.); passion for best practices and process improvement; excellent communication skills with an adaptable, curious attitude; ability to speak with non-technical staff to gather specs and communicate timelines Certifications: None required Other: On-site Preferred Qualifications Experience using or writing RESTful APIs; mobile programming languages such as Dart, YAML, and Xcode; familiarity with mobile frameworks and libraries such as Flutter, Riverpod, Dio, and the Firebase SDK.
