Responsibilities include reviewing direct and indirect consumer disputes, conducting thorough investigations into disputed information, including allegations of fraud and identity theft, collaborating with the Fraud Department and Fraud Investigators when appropriate, determining and documenting appropriate actions taken, responding to disputes within required regulatory timeframes, and submitting corrections to credit bureau reporting where applicable to ensure accurate credit reporting.Responsibilities:Investigate disputes received through consumer e-OSCAR concerning credit information furnished by Mercedes-Benz Financial Services. Conduct thorough reviews of account records, payment histories, contractual documentation, bankruptcy information, fraud indicators, and other relevant data. Determine the accuracy of reported information, submit dispute responses to credit bureaus, and ensure compliance with Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) requirements and established company procedures. (70%)Process identity theft block notifications received from consumers or consumer reporting agencies. Review supporting documentation, including police reports and identity theft affidavits, place appropriate credit reporting restrictions, coordinate with Fraud Control when required, and ensure affected tradelines are handled in accordance with regulatory requirements and company procedures. (5%)Review and process requests to remove previously established identity theft blocks when sufficient evidence supports rescission. Validate documentation, coordinate with fraud investigation teams and consumer reporting agencies as necessary, update account records, and ensure credit reporting is restored or maintained appropriately based on investigation outcomes. (5%)Research and resolve escalated internal inquiries related to credit reporting, Partner with departments such as Customer Relations, Collections, Fraud Control, Legal, Customer Relations, and Operations to ensure accurate reporting and consistent application of credit reporting policies and procedures. (5%)Investigate and respond to credit disputes received directly from consumers regarding information reported by Mercedes-Benz Financial Services to consumer reporting agencies. Review account history, supporting documentation, payment activity, and applicable credit reporting guidelines to determine the accuracy of reported information. Complete investigations within required regulatory timeframes, update credit bureau reporting when appropriate, and draft customer responses that clearly communicate the investigation results (10%)Investigate hard inquiry disputes when a consumer challenges a hard credit inquiry that appears on their credit report and alleges that the inquiry was unauthorized, inaccurate, fraudulent, or the result of identity theft. (5%) QualifikationenQualifications:Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. at the time of application. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of overall work experience. Preferred experience includes:Business-General: 2 yearsCustomer Service: 2 years Education:High School Diploma/(GED) is required, Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
