Hiring Senior DevOps Specialist – Contract Opportunity-Hybrid in GTA Stafingo is currently recruiting a Senior DevOps Specialist on behalf of a confidential client for a contract opportunity supporting enterprise technology and digital transformation initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced DevOps professional with strong expertise in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, automation, deployment, monitoring, and DevOps best practices to contribute to a large-scale technology environment. Position: Senior DevOps Specialist Number of Resources: 1 Contract Type: Contract Location: Hybrid – 3 days onsite Start Date: October 19th, 2026 End Date: April 18th, 2027 Extension: Up to an additional 6 months Pay Range: $85.00/hr T4 – $105.00/hr INC Public Sector Experience: Preferred Submission Deadline: Tuesday, August 18th, 2026 at 5:00 PM About the Role The Senior DevOps Specialist will be responsible for supporting and enhancing DevOps practices across enterprise technology environments. The successful candidate will work closely with development, infrastructure, cloud, security, architecture, and other technical teams to improve automation, deployment processes, system reliability, and operational efficiency. The role requires someone who can work independently, troubleshoot complex technical issues, implement DevOps solutions, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders. Key Responsibilities : Design, implement, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.Automate software delivery, infrastructure provisioning, configuration, testing, and operational processes.Support and manage cloud-based infrastructure and DevOps environments.Implement Infrastructure as Code and automation practices to improve consistency, scalability, and reliability.Manage source control, branching strategies, build processes, release management, and deployment workflows.Monitor applications, infrastructure, pipelines, and environments to identify and resolve performance or reliability issues.Troubleshoot complex build, deployment, infrastructure, networking, and application-related issues.Collaborate with software developers, architects, infrastructure teams, security teams, QA teams, and project stakeholders.Establish and maintain DevOps standards, processes, documentation, and best practices.Support environment management across development, testing, staging, and production environments.Implement appropriate security controls and DevSecOps practices within development and deployment pipelines.Improve deployment reliability through automation, monitoring, logging, and proactive issue resolution.Participate in technical design discussions and provide recommendations for improving enterprise DevOps capabilities.Support incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.Develop technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge-transfer materials.Contribute to modernization and digital transformation initiatives involving cloud and enterprise technology platforms. Desired Technical Skills & Experience : The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience with several of the following: DevOps engineering and automationCI/CD pipeline development and administrationCloud platforms, such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google CloudInfrastructure as Code, including Terraform, ARM/Bicep, or equivalent technologiesGit and source-control managementJenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or comparable CI/CD platformsLinux and/or Windows administrationScripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar technologiesContainer technologies such as Docker and KubernetesCloud infrastructure, networking, security, and identity conceptsApplication and infrastructure monitoring and loggingConfiguration management and automated deploymentsRelease management and environment managementDevSecOps and secure software delivery practicesAgile/Scrum development methodologiesTroubleshooting complex enterprise technology environments Qualifications : Senior-level experience working in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, Infrastructure Automation, or a closely related discipline.Strong understanding of modern DevOps principles, practices, and tools.Demonstrated experience designing and implementing automated deployment and CI/CD solutions.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.Ability to work independently while collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.Experience working in large enterprise environments is highly desirable.Public sector/government experience is preferred but not mandatory.Relevant cloud, DevOps, Kubernetes, Terraform, or other technical certifications are considered an asset.
