Description
We’re looking for a Platform Engineer to build the core services and infrastructure behind a new generation of enterprise software.
This is a hands-on engineering role focused on traditional backend development, platform architecture, integrations, and production systems.
You’ll work on the foundational services that allow the product to operate securely within a customer’s existing technology environment.
From identity and permissions to third-party integrations and deployment infrastructure, you’ll have ownership over systems that need to be reliable, scalable, and ready for enterprise use.
What You’ll Do
Design and develop scalable backend services, APIs, and platform components that support the core product.Build the platform layer responsible for identity, authentication, authorization, RBAC, permissions, and auditability.Develop integrations with enterprise systems including Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, NetSuite, SharePoint, Google Drive, and other business-critical applications.Build reliable services for connecting internal systems with customer environments and managing data and workflows across multiple platforms.Design backend infrastructure that supports multi-tenant deployments while maintaining strong isolation, security, and reliability.Own production systems from architecture and implementation through deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and ongoing optimization.Build and improve observability, logging, alerting, and operational tooling across the backend platform.Establish deployment and automation processes that allow engineering teams to provision and support new customer environments efficiently.Improve platform reliability, scalability, and security as the customer base grows.Participate in production on-call and take ownership of resolving complex backend and infrastructure issues.Work closely with product and engineering teams to establish strong backend architecture, development practices, and technical standards.Help shape the engineering organization, including technical standards, hiring, and engineering culture.
What We’re Looking For
2+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production systems.Strong computer science fundamentals; Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field from a strong university preferred.Strong backend engineering experience with a track record of shipping production software.Experience designing APIs, distributed services, databases, and backend systems.Strong understanding of identity, authentication, authorization, RBAC, or enterprise access-control systems.Experience integrating backend systems with enterprise software, SaaS platforms, ERPs, or productivity ecosystems.Experience with at least one of Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, NetSuite/SAP/Oracle, or comparable enterprise platforms is highly valuable.Comfortable working across cloud infrastructure, deployment systems, observability, and production operations.Experience with containers, cloud platforms, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation is a plus.You’ve operated systems in production and are comfortable participating in an on-call rotation.Strong preference for engineers who prioritize simple, reliable, shippable systems over unnecessary complexity.Comfortable working in a highly autonomous environment where you’ll have meaningful influence over architecture and engineering direction.
