About the role A hybrid role based in Dublin this position plays a key role by collaborating with departments across the company to develop scalable backend systems. What will you do? The Backend Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems that power HealthBeacon’s digital platforms. The role ensures secure, reliable, and efficient data processing; integration with third-party APIs and healthcare data sources; and adherence to regulatory and industry standards. By delivering robust backend architecture and services, the Backend Developer enables the functionality, performance, and stability of HealthBeacon’s solutions and contributes to innovation across the ecosystem. Qualifications & Skills Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Python, or similar.Strong understanding of relational (MySQL) databases.Knowledge of software development using Django frameworkKnowledge of unit testing, integration testing, and automated testing frameworks.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (desirable).Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work independently and contribute effectively to team-based development.Passion for digital health innovation
