ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The Senior Engineer, Facilities Engineer role supports the development and operation of our new industrial facilities in Koekelscheuer, including a test laboratory / SMT line (already operational) and a future large-scale manufacturing facility (“Mother Fab”) currently in design phase.This role is responsible for combining hands-on operational support, infrastructure development, and technical leadership in facility design and construction. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS Operational Facilities Support (Test Lab) Ensure availability and performance of critical infrastructure:Electrical distribution (MV/LV), UPS, backup systemsHVAC and process cooling systemsCleanliness and environmental controlSupport manufacturing teams on infrastructure-related needs and issuesMonitor and optimize facility performance (energy, alarms, reliability)Coordinate and manage external service providers (soft facilities & maintenance)Facilities Development & Project Support (Production Hall) Act as Owner’s Technical Representative during design and construction phasesReview and challenge design proposals from engineering firms and contractorsTranslate operational and manufacturing requirements into technical specificationsEnsure infrastructure design meets performance, reliability, and scalability needsSupport project phases from concept design through commissioning Coordination & Interface Management Act as key interface between:Manufacturing teamsEngineering/design officesContractors and suppliersEnsure alignment between operational needs and facility design decisionsDrive issue resolution across multiple stakeholders COMPETENCIES Technical skills Strong understanding and working experience of:Electrical systems (MV/LV, backup power)UPS/STS/ATS engineering and operationsHVAC and cooling systemsCleanroom or controlled environmentsIndustrial utilities (air, water, etc.)Ability to review and challenge technical designsFamiliarity with BMS / monitoring systems is a plus Soft Skills Strong ownership and accountabilityAbility to operate in both hands-on and strategic environmentsExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsStructured, problem-solving mindsetAssertive and able to challenge external partners when needed QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Electrical and/or Mechanical engineering degree8–15 years of experience in facilities engineering / industrial infrastructureExperience in industrial or high-tech environments (electronics, semiconductors, pharma, etc.)Proven involvement in design and/or construction projects (owner-side or contractor-side)Experience managing contractors and external suppliers OTHER KEY REQUIREMENTS / COMMENTS Be part of the development of a new industrial site from early stage to full-scale productionPlay a key role in shaping the future of the companyHigh-impact position with strong visibility and growth potential Embark on a career with us, where diversity isn't just a buzzword – it's our driving force.
