As a Senior Requirements Engineer (Systems Engineering / IoT / Cloud), you play a key role in shaping how complex systems are defined, validated, and maintained over their full lifecycle. You will work on an innovative platform combining embedded systems, edge gateways, and cloud services, ensuring buildings operate safely and efficiently for 10+ years with minimal maintenance. Your work in requirements engineering and systems engineering ensures clarity, traceability, and quality across hardware and software domains. Your work will directly impact the safety, compliance, and long-term success of our products. Your role As a Systems Engineer, you lead the translation of stakeholder needs into clear, structured, and testable requirements. You operate at the heart of our systems engineering process, working closely with product, hardware, software, and QA teams. You ensure that requirements are consistent, traceable, verifiable, and support the long-term maintainability of our solutions. What you’ll do Capture stakeholder needs and translates them into clear, testable requirements and acceptance criteriaBuild and maintain a structured requirements hierarchy aligned with systems engineering principlesEnsure end-to-end traceability from system requirements to implementation and release artifactsManage bidirectional traceability to support impact analysis (changes, defects, incidents)Facilitate requirements workshops, reviews, and stakeholder alignmentApply risk-based thinking (e.g. FMEA) to identify failure scenariosDefine and support Verification & Validation (V&V) strategiesMaintain versioning, baselining, and change control in line with audit and compliance standardsEnsure requirements are accessible, maintainable, and usable across teams What you bring 8+ years of experience in requirements engineering / systems engineering for complex systemsStrong expertise in writing clear, unambiguous, and testable requirementsExperience working across hardware, embedded systems, and software teamsProven experience with requirements management and traceabilityExperience with V-model, lifecycle management, and V&V processesExperience with tooling such as DOORS, Polarion, Jama, or Azure DevOps (or similar)Experience with baselining, versioning, and change controlComfortable facilitating workshops and aligning stakeholdersExperience in IoT, embedded systems, or building automation Nice to have Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, KNXExperience with ISO 27001, IEC 62443, or similar standardsExperience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), UML or SysML What You Get In Numbers Competitive salary and benefits package for senior engineersFlexible working hours and 30 vacation days, with the option to buy more8% holiday allowanceTravel allowance of €0.23/km (max. 150 km per day) For Your Well-Being and Growth Solid pension plan and participation scheme Personal development budget and training opportunities Healthy cafeteria Free on-site gym with CrossFit, Pilates, Spinning, table tennis, and table football Our Culture and values At Priva, our mission is to create environments where people can work, grow, and thrive.
