We are looking for senior backend and platform engineers who think in systems, invariants, and failure modes, and who want to own architecture rather than fill a ticket. What you'd own Distributed, multi-tenant backend systems and data pipelines powering AI agents in productionThe infrastructure that keeps them reliable: workflow orchestration, high-throughput processing, observability, release and rollbackThe hard architecture calls, working directly with founders and small senior teamsWhat we're looking for Typically 5 to 8+ years in backend, platform, or distributed systems, with real production ownership. Some seats flex to sharp 4-year engineers, others want staff-level depthYou have designed and operated complex systems and can explain what broke, how you recovered, and what changedStrong command of backend fundamentals: APIs, data modeling, queues, cloud, KubernetesFintech, ledger, or payments experience is a fast yes for several of theseStrong bonus signals Platform or infra work on a high-caliber team (the Ramp, Stripe, Databricks, Datadog lane)Multi-tenant SaaS, enterprise integration, or agent-infrastructure backgroundNote: the NYC seats are in-person and US-authorized, no sponsorship. SF seats are more flexible on visasCompensation: $170K to $300K base, plus meaningful equity. Exact range depends on the specific client, level, and stage.
