Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.5 years of experience with one or more general purpose programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python, or Go).
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.Experience developing accessible technologies, and experience in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering.Experience developing Generative AI Agents.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware.
Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $174000 - $252000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Design and implement agentic architecture, tools, and features that enable scalable, low-latency data access and analysis to ground Coach responses in users’ longitudinal health, biometric, and fitness data.Write production-grade code and evals to enable secure data retrieval layers and investigative tools.Identify product gaps and suggest feature enhancements that drive user value, while proposing architectural code improvements for long-term scalability and maintainability.Work with Product Managers, UX Designers, and frontend engineers to refine the user experience and resolve cross-functional technical issues.Mentor junior engineers, and conduct design and code reviews to maintain engineering standards within the team.
