DevOps Engineer

DevOps Engineer Our client is at the forefront of building a Quantum Machine, moving beyond experimental setups into a robust, product-ready system. They are seeking a DevOps Engineer who will own the reliability of the quantum control stack: covering maintenance, monitoring, deployment, and upgrades across development and production environments. You will be the person who builds the operations foundation from scratch, enabling our client's team of senior engineers to stay focused on the roadmap and driving the machine toward continuous, day-long operation. Key Skills & Experience DevOps/SRE/System Engineering: Proven ownership of production reliability, incident handling, and operational excellence. Hardware-in-the-loop and lab systems: Validating software changes against real devices before deployment. CI/CD and build/release automation: Designing pipelines that ensure fast, safe, and repeatable delivery of control software. Monitoring and observability: Implementing metrics, logs, and alerting across the control system and lab environmental sensors. Python for automation: Creating tools and scripts to automate deployment, testing, validation, and operational workflows. Infrastructure-as-code (Ansible, Terraform): Defining and managing infrastructure in a reproducible, version-controlled way. Containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes): Packaging and running services reliably at scale. Time-series monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana): Building dashboards and alerts to detect issues early and support continuous operation. Networking fundamentals: Collaborating effectively with network specialists on lab and infrastructure networking. Business-level English & self-directed learning: Operating in a global team and ramping into an unfamiliar quantum/physics domain.
