Take on the role of Contracts Manager with a rapidly growing mechanical subcontractor operating across the data centre and mission-critical construction sector.
This is a senior commercial and operational position, offering the opportunity to take ownership of major mechanical packages on high-value projects, with a clear route into senior management.
Reporting directly into senior leadership, you will take responsibility for the successful commercial and operational delivery of mechanical contracts from pre-construction and procurement through to completion, commissioning and final account.
You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, commercially and to programme, while maintaining strong relationships with clients, principal contractors, suppliers and internal delivery teams.
This is a hands-on role where your ability to manage contracts, identify commercial opportunities, control risk and drive delivery will be critical.
Your Role as a Mechanical Contracts Manager Will Include:
Take commercial and operational ownership of major mechanical packages from pre-construction through to final accountManage contract administration, variations, valuations, applications for payment and commercial reportingIdentify and manage commercial risks, opportunities, early warnings and potential variationsWork closely with project and site teams to ensure mechanical works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programmeManage client and principal contractor relationships throughout the project lifecycle
As a Mechanical Contracts Manager, You Will Have:
Strong mechanical building services background, ideally with an HVAC, cooling or pipework biasProven experience working for a mechanical subcontractor or specialist M&E contractorPrevious experience managing mechanical contracts or large-value mechanical packagesStrong understanding of contract administration, variations, valuations, procurement and final accountsExperience delivering projects within data centres, pharmaceutical, industrial, commercial or other mission-critical environmentsProven ability to manage relationships with principal contractors, clients, suppliers and internal teamsA track record of delivering complex mechanical packages within fast-paced construction environments
