Role: Software Developer (GO + AWS + Microservices) Location: Sydney Permanent (Fulltime) Role Overview Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications and microservices using Go (Golang).Develop and support serverless solutions leveraging AWS Lambda and related AWS services.Design and optimise data models and access patterns using Amazon DynamoDB.Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and event driven applications.Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD.Participate in solution design, architecture discussions, and technical decision making.Collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver business and technology outcomes.Perform code reviews and champion software engineering best practices.Identify and resolve application performance, reliability, and scalability issues.Create and maintain technical documentation.Support production environments, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Required Skills & Experience Technical Skills Strong commercial experience developing software using Go (Golang).Hands on experience working within an AWS cloud environment. Experience with: AWS LambdaDynamoDBAPI GatewayIAMCloudWatchS3Experience building and supporting serverless applications.Strong understanding of microservices and distributed system architectures.Experience designing and developing REST APIs.Experience using GitLab for source control, branching strategies, and CI/CD automation.Knowledge of software design principles, clean code practices, and testing methodologies.Experience working within Agile delivery teams. Database Experience Strong experience with Amazon DynamoDB.Understanding of NoSQL database design, performance tuning, and scalability considerations. Desirable Skills & Experience Experience with Augur or similar cloud governance, reporting, or analytics platforms.Experience planning and executing data migration projects, including large scale migrations, data transformation, validation, and reconciliation activities.Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.Familiarity with event driven architectures and messaging services such as SNS, SQS, EventBridge or Kafka.Experience with observability, monitoring, and logging platforms. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.Relevant AWS certifications are advantageous.
