Software Engineer

Role Description This full-time remote Software Engineer role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining back-end services and APIs that power Yoppic’s products. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, tested, and well-documented code; reviewing peer code; troubleshooting and resolving production and development issues; and collaborating with product, design, and other engineering team members to deliver features from concept to deployment. The Software Engineer will participate in architecture discussions, contribute to technical decisions, and help improve development workflows, tooling, and performance. The role also involves monitoring system reliability, optimizing database interactions, and ensuring security and best practices across services. Qualifications Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.Hands-on experience in Software Development and Programming using modern languages and frameworks.Proficiency in Back-End Web Development, including building and maintaining APIs, services, and integrations.Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and related design patterns.Experience with version control (e.g., Git), automated testing, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, communicate clearly, and collaborate across time zones.Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and containerization is beneficial.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
