Project Description: DeGruyter Brill is considering DXC Luxoft as a potential partner to support the development of their Cloud Platform. The initial request is to start with a small senior team, with the plan to scale further based on delivery performance and collaboration fit to a full scrum team. Responsibilities: Scope of Work • AWS Cloud platform development support • The successful candidate needs to demonstrate hands-on frontend development experience, particularly in building user interfaces based on UX/UI designs, working with responsive layouts, and implementing accessibility requirements. We also noted the additional requirement for XML and XSLT knowledge. Mandatory Skills Description: Skills & Experience Required • Senior level cloud development experience • Experience with modern cloud platforms and infrastructure automation • Scala / Java or Kotlin (our application is in Scala but an engineer with either of the other two languages should be able to understand it) • MVC frameworks • AWS • Terraform (integration in Gitlab CI/CD) • Elastic Search / Open Search • Basic SQL skills • Front-end relevant experience: • Javascript / Typescript • CSS • Experience with responsive design and accessibility requirements • Experience developing responsive and accessible web applications • Understanding of XML structures and XSLT transformations Most important for us is someone who: - can comfortably work across both the backend stack and the frontend aspects of the Online Resources product portfolio, including search functionality, presentation of complex data, and user experience considerations - is able to understand concepts, not afraid to dig through log files, communicate clearly and is able to use common sense. We need someone who can understand a fully integrated systems and has analytical skills and the right mindset. Nice-to-Have Skills Description: Figma tool experience.
