IT Infrastructure Engineer

Trnava, Slovakia / Full-time / Open for Part-time / On-site Salary: from 2.500€, depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications. The IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for maintaining, improving, and supporting the company’s IT infrastructure across on-premise and cloud environments. The role focuses on implementing infrastructure solutions, administering core systems, supporting Microsoft 365 services, virtualization, backup, networking, and automation while ensuring stable and secure IT operations. Working closely with the IT Infrastructure Specialist, the IT Infrastructure Engineer participates in infrastructure projects, resolves complex technical issues, and continuously improves the company’s IT environment. Tasks • Administer and maintain Windows Server environments and virtualization platforms (Proxmox) • Manage Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune and Entra ID • Configure and maintain Fortigate firewalls, VPN connectivity and network infrastructure • Manage storage, backup and disaster recovery solutions • Monitor infrastructure performance and resolve issues proactively • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and automation to improve operational efficiency • Provide third-level technical support for complex infrastructure incidents • Support and ensure high availability of critical IT services • Participate in infrastructure projects, including migrations, upgrades and implementation of new technologies • Maintain technical documentation and follow company IT and cybersecurity policies • Collaborate with IT Support, external vendors and other business stake holders • Contribute to continuous improvement of the IT infrastructure Requirements • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in IT infrastructure or system administration • Good knowledge of Windows Server administration • Experience with virtualization technologies • Practical experience with Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Intune and Entra ID • Good understanding of networking, TCP/IP, VLANs, VPN and firewall administration • Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions • Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools • PowerShell scripting skills • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills • Good Slovak and English communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Skills (Advantageous) • Experience with Fortigate firewalls • Experience with storage systems • Experience participating in infrastructure projects Benefits You become an employee of the company (not an agency) Work in a stable foreign company Work in a creative team with custom product development Opportunity for professional growth Financial compensation for loyalty + paid time off (depending on the number of years of employment) Annual salary review and annual bonus Meal allowance Pillar III pension savings Birth of a child - 100€ voucher + 1 day of paid time off Wedding - 1 day of paid time off First day at school with child - 1 day of paid time off Financial reward for regular blood donors Flexible working hours (office staff) Home office English language courses Company events (team building, summer events, Christmas party, etc.) Great place to work activities (free coffee/tea, various activities during the year, etc.) Gifts during the year (Midsummer, birthdays, Traditional Trnava Fair, St. Nicholas Day, Christmas, etc.) Are you an outgoing person looking for a challenging job in an innovative environment?
