A DevOps Engineer Cloud Landing Zone is responsible for the development and operation of the globally used Secure Cloud Access (SCA) IT service.
Key Responsibilities:
Landing Zone Engineering
Design, build and maintain a global cloud landing zonefor Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS),following enterprise architecture, compliance and security standards;Develop and enhance automated account/project/subscription provisioning and baseline configurations exclusively usingInfrastructure-as-Code(IaC);
Automation & Platform Enablement
Develop and maintainCI/CD pipelinesfor platform components;Foster process automation to reduce manual work usingGitHub Actions;
Operations& Development
Operate and enhancethe cloud platform with a strong focus on reliability and performance;Driveincident resolutionandroot cause analysisin collaboration with other cross-functional teams;Plan, coordinate and implementincoming platformchangesfor the further platform development;
Collaboration and workstyle
Work within anagile global teamusing Scrum or Kanban;Collaborateclosely withinternal and external teams on a global scale, e.g.
security, network, governance and public cloud providers;Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, retrospectives, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Degree (e.g.
business informatics, informatics) or comparable qualification;Technical knowledge with at least one of the following cloud providers: AWS, Azure, GCP;Competency with scripting languages such asPython;Good knowledge ofcloud networking(VPC/VNet design, DNS);Good expertise aboutIT infrastructure components;Strong proficiency inInfrastructure as Code(e.g.
Cloud Formation or Terraform),CI/CD pipelinesandDevOps tooling;Agile methodologies (SCRUM);Experience with AI usage (e.g.GitHub Copilot)highly recommendedRelevant certifications and/or experience in cloud computing, like: Solutions Architect Associate (AWS), Administrator (Azure), Associate Cloud Engineer (GCP);Good team player with the ability to work in cross functional teams;Strong problem-solving and analytical skills;Fluent English skills, German skills helpful.
