About The Role A leading provider in AI cloud infrastructure is seeking a Senior or Staff Software Engineer – DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) to own the development of internal tooling that optimizes how they buy, track, deploy, and manage data center hardware across a growing global footprint. This high-impact, cross-functional role will sit at the intersection of engineering, infrastructure, and operations. You’ll be responsible for delivering scalable, fault-tolerant software systems to support DCIM, including asset management, digital twins, deployment automation, and operational insights. You’ll shape the technical direction, mentor peers, and drive architectural decisions for internal tools that directly support some of the world’s leading AI customers. Key Responsibilities Design and build DCIM tools for asset tracking, deployment, and operational visibilityBuild internal platforms to support asset management, inventory tracking, and visual dashboardsDevelop software that accelerates data center build-outs and operationsLead build vs. buy analysis for scalable tool developmentCollaborate cross-functionally with product, infrastructure, and support teamsPromote best practices around CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and distributed systemsDeliver reliable, fault-tolerant systems to support global scalingOwn the full lifecycle from concept through deployment and maintenance Required Skills And Qualifications 5+ years of professional software engineering experienceAdvanced programming proficiency in Go, Rust, Java, C++, or similarStrong understanding of distributed systems, networking, and Linux systemsExperience with Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab, CircleCI)Hands-on knowledge of data structures, multithreading, and concurrencyStrong cross-functional communication skillsExperience balancing scalability, reliability, and performance in complex infrastructureBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent Preferred Experience Experience with internal tooling or operations software (DCIM, NOC tools, etc.)Strong exposure to infrastructure automation and monitoring systemsExperience working in a high-growth or startup environment Benefits Competitive compensation package (cash + equity)Health, dental, and vision insurancePension or retirement plan (location-specific)Generous PTO policy Apply today or contact Jack Lawson for more information about the role
