Vacancy: Director of Trading Systems & Operations Trading | Hybrid: Amsterdam | Salary up to € 140K base + sign. bonus My client is a well-established market maker in options and derivatives, with technology teams both nationally and internationally. Five previously separate capability areas are being brought under a single owner, reporting into the CTO. You'll lead three delivery lines and oversee two functions: Infrastructure Platform, Performance, and a brand-new Low Latency Engineering function with a lead reporting directly to you, plus oversight of Workplace Technology and an outsourced Security Operations provider. Multiple leads are already in seat across these teams, you'll set direction, hold cross-team standards, and back their decisions. You'll be responsible for: Full accountability for trading platform availability across EU and US hours, with one consistent operating modelBuilding a brand-new Low Latency Engineering function, with a lead reporting directly to youAn infrastructure estate carrying the same availability bar as the trading platform itselfOversight of an outsourced Security Operations providerA vendor and budget portfolio, including the core trading platform vendorLeading multiple existing leads already in seat across the estate We are looking for someone with experience in: Owning uptime and speed in a live trading environment, more than onceManaging multiple technical teams or domains simultaneously, ideally across more than one siteHaving built or led a low latency engineering function previouslyHaving designed an on-call and incident model from scratchSteering an outsourced security operations provider at a regulated firmHolding technical authority in specialisms you don't personally practice So, have you already built and led multiple technical teams in a live trading environment?
