Software Engineer I (Frontend, Growth)

Responsibilities Contribute to the development and maintenance of responsive, high-quality frontend applications that power WHOOP’s web experiencesPartner with Product, Design, and Analytics to implement experiments (A/B tests) and iterate quickly based on measurable resultsWrite clean, maintainable, and well-tested code using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React) and industry best practicesIntegrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and backend services to deliver seamless, performant user experiencesBreak down feature requirements into actionable tasks, identify risks early, and iterate quickly to deliver value to membersMonitor and improve application performance, accessibility, and usability across devices and browsersParticipate in code reviews and technical discussions, proactively seeking feedback and continuously improving your craft Qualifications Professional experience in frontend software development (internship, co-op, or academic project experience acceptable)Experience building web applications using modern JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks such as ReactUnderstanding of core web technologies including HTML, CSS, and responsive design principlesFamiliarity with integrating frontend applications with RESTful APIsExperience using version control systems such as GitStrong problem-solving skills and an eagerness to learn in a fast-paced, experiment-driven environmentClear communication skills and a collaborative mindset when working with cross-functional partnersBonus: Experience with A/B testing frameworks or growth-focused engineering initiatives
