Automation Engineer

A leading global provider of healthcare software solutions is looking for an experienced engineer to join the team in Berlin. This role involves driving quality assurance strategies for critical medical software products within a dynamic, innovation-led environment. The successful candidate will play a key part in integrating advanced technology and automation into the healthcare sector to improve patient outcomes. What you'll be doing • Design and manage end-to-end test strategies including unit, integration, system, UI, stress, and performance testing. • Build and scale test harnesses and CI pipelines for C++ desktop, .NET, and modern web stacks. • Plan and execute load and performance tests to identify bottlenecks and stability risks. • Collaborate with architecture and product teams to implement shift-left engineering practices. • Utilize AI agents and tools to generate, maintain, and triage automated tests and workflows. What we're looking for • Extensive experience in senior-level test automation and multi-layered frameworks, preferably in regulated environments. • Excellent academic background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field. • Strong programming skills in C#, Java, Python, or TypeScript, alongside experience with tools like Ranorex or Playwright. • Proven ability to integrate AI coding tools and agentic workflows into quality assurance pipelines. • Professional fluency in both German and English with strong proactive problem-solving abilities.
