Description

**Location:** Fort Worth, TX or Sherman, TX (Hybrid — in-office presence required, with remote flexibility) **Company:** Remote Finance Group (RFG) **Salary:** Starting at $100,000, commensurate with experience, plus performance-based bonus opportunities ## About Us Remote Finance Group (RFG) is one of the fastest-growing remote finance companies in the powersports, trailer, RV, and outdoor industries. We are looking for an innovative developer who enjoys solving business problems with automation, artificial intelligence, and modern web technologies. This is not a typical web development position. We want someone who can help us build the future of our company's operations. ## Our Core Values (Non-Negotiable) At Remote Finance Group, we believe that who you are is just as important as what you know. We hire people who align with our culture first and our technical needs second. While skills can be developed, character cannot. Every member of our team is expected to live our core values every day. **Integrity & Trust** Integrity is the foundation of everything we do. We expect every employee to be honest, ethical, transparent, and accountable in every decision they make. We do the right thing even when no one is watching. We earn the trust of our customers, business partners, and teammates by being dependable, communicating openly, honoring our commitments, and taking ownership of both our successes and our mistakes. **Discipline** Success comes from consistency, not shortcuts. We value individuals who are organized, dependable, self-motivated, and committed to excellence. We expect our team members to manage their time effectively, meet deadlines, continuously improve their skills, and hold themselves to a high standard without requiring constant supervision. **Teamwork & Hustle** We believe great companies are built by people who genuinely enjoy helping others succeed. We look for individuals who are positive, collaborative, humble, and willing to jump in wherever needed. We value people with a strong work ethic who take initiative, solve problems, embrace challenges, and consistently go the extra mile for our customers and teammates. If these values don't reflect who you are and how you approach your work, this position is not the right fit. ## Position Overview We're seeking an experienced developer to lead development of our internal Operations Center — a platform built on Next.js, React, and Supabase — integrating with our business systems and third-party platforms. AI-powered features (OpenAI and similar LLM integrations) and Google Workspace integration are a key part of the roadmap ahead. The ideal candidate is comfortable building custom web applications, creating workflow automations, integrating APIs, and using AI to improve operational efficiency. Just as important: they are comfortable owning software in production — deploying it, monitoring it, securing it, and keeping it running for a business that depends on it every day. This role will be responsible for tools that help manage hundreds of customer finance files, automate repetitive tasks, improve visibility, and provide real-time business intelligence. ## What You'll Build and Run * A custom internal Operations Center * Executive dashboards * Finance manager dashboards * Universal search across company data * AI-powered reporting and recommendations * Workflow automation * Employee reminder systems * Escalation workflows * Dealer dashboards * Lender dashboards * Customer search tools * Internal reporting applications * Company website enhancements and future web applications * The production foundation under all of it: deployment pipeline, monitoring and alerting, automated and tested database backups, and secure access controls ## Responsibilities * Design, develop, and maintain internal business applications * Own the platform in production: deployment, monitoring, incident response, and uptime * Manage the PostgreSQL database: schema, migrations, performance, backups, and tested restores * Establish CI/CD with automated test runs and reliable rollback procedures * Implement and maintain security controls: credential and secrets handling, least-privilege access, encryption — and support RFG's compliance with the FTC Safeguards Rule for consumer financial data * Integrate multiple business systems through secure API integrations * Build AI-powered features using modern large language models (LLMs) * Create executive dashboards and reporting tools * Automate business processes and improve operational efficiency through technology * Manage DNS, TLS/certificates, and domains for company systems * Maintain and enhance company websites * Research and recommend technologies that improve productivity ## Preferred Experience * Running production systems: monitoring, debugging live issues, incident response * PostgreSQL, including schema design, migrations, and backup/recovery * TypeScript / JavaScript * React and Next.js * Node.js * Supabase * Vercel or similar deployment platforms * CI/CD and Git/GitHub * Authentication, user security, and secrets management * REST APIs * DNS, TLS, and general web infrastructure * Google Workspace APIs * OpenAI API or other AI integrations ## Bonus Experience * Metabase, Looker Studio, or other dashboard/BI tools * Make.com, Zapier, n8n, or similar automation platforms * Retool or Airtable * Twilio, RingCentral, or SMS integrations * Chrome extension development * CRM integrations * Financial services or dealership industry experience — especially handling consumer credit data in a regulated environment ## What Success Looks Like Within the first 90 days, you'll have: * Produced a complete, documented inventory of RFG's systems, accounts, and credentials — with access locked to the people who need it * Established a written security baseline mapped to our FTC Safeguards Rule obligations * Put monitoring and alerting in place so problems are caught before they reach the team * Established automated database backups with a documented, tested restore procedure * Taken full ownership of the Operations Center codebase, with a delivery roadmap that includes a secure, test-gated deployment pipeline * Delivered a first visible win for the team — such as an executive reporting dashboard or automated reminders and escalations ## The Kind of Person We're Looking For You enjoy building systems that save people time. You're curious, innovative, and constantly exploring new AI technologies. You don't just write code — you solve business problems. You know the difference between a system that's quiet and a system that's broken. You think about automation first, manual work second. You enjoy building tools that make entire teams more efficient — and keeping them running once they do. Most importantly, you consistently demonstrate Integrity & Trust, Discipline, and Teamwork & Hustle in everything you do. ## Compensation & Benefits We believe in rewarding great people with competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package. * Salary: Starting at $100,000, commensurate with experience * Performance-based bonus opportunities * Health insurance * Dental insurance * Vision insurance * Short-Term Disability (STD) * Long-Term Disability (LTD) * Paid Time Off (PTO) * Paid Vacation * Opportunities for professional growth and career advancement * The opportunity to build innovative AI and automation solutions that directly impact the future of our company **Employment Type:** * Full-time * Contract candidates will also be considered based on experience ## To Apply Please include: * Resume * Portfolio or GitHub * A brief example of a system you've built or maintained in production — what it did, how long it ran, and a problem you diagnosed and fixed along the way
