Backend Engineer

About The Role The role owns the design, implementation, and scaling of core backend services and APIs that power user-facing features for a rapidly growing user base. The engineering team works in a fast-paced environment where system reliability, low latency, and clean architecture are critical to product success. Key Responsibilities Design and build scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs using Python, Go, or Node.js to support high-throughput client applicationsArchitect and optimize relational and NoSQL database schemas in PostgreSQL and Redis, ensuring data consistency and fast query performanceDeploy and manage containerized services using Docker and Kubernetes on AWS or GCP infrastructureImplement comprehensive automated testing suites and CI/CD pipelines to streamline code deployment and maintain high code quality standardsMonitor system health, troubleshoot production incidents, and perform root cause analysis to continuously improve system availability and resilienceCollaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and designers to define technical requirements and deliver features on schedule What We Are Looking For 3–6 years of professional backend software engineering experience building distributed systems in productionStrong proficiency in at least one backend programming language such as Python, Go, Java, or Node.jsHands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, containerization tools, and modern CI/CD pipelinesSolid understanding of database design, caching strategies, asynchronous processing, and microservices architectureBachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experienceBonus: Experience with event-driven architectures using Kafka or RabbitMQ, and prior work in remote-first engineering teams
