IT Test Automation Engineer

Job Description Develop and maintain automated test scripts and regression test suites using modern automation techniques.Assess requirements, specifications and test cases for testability and automation feasibility.Set up and enhance test automation activities in line with existing frameworks, standards and processes.Adapt test environments and automate testing for T24/Transact-based applications and interfaces.Configure, maintain and deploy test automation tools and environments.Execute and document automated, manual and exploratory tests, identifying and reporting defects.Manage CI/CD test pipelines, ensuring scheduled execution and effective consolidation and distribution of results.Integrate automated testing with JIRA/Xray to ensure traceability and reporting.Collaborate closely with developers, requirements engineers and Test Managers to translate test cases into reliable automated scripts.Maintain regression stability by adapting automated tests to application changes.Support automation effort estimation for new projects and system upgrades.Deliver knowledge-sharing and training sessions to the wider team when required. About The Customer The role will focus on building and maintaining robust automated testing frameworks within a complex banking environment. Requirements 5+ years in BDD & Test AutomationStrong Selenium, Cucumber & GherkinAdvanced Java development skillsXray & Jira integration within automated testing frameworksStrong understanding of CI/CD – Jenkins, GitLab, etc.Experience with both automated and manual testingBanking experience is essentialAgile and traditional delivery environmentsSelenium Grid experience is a plusT24 or Triple A experience would be highly advantageous
